Terms of service
These terms apply when you use PartFerret ("we", "us") at partferret.com. By creating an account or buying credits you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
What PartFerret does
PartFerret searches public listings on third-party websites (breakers, salvage auctions, marketplaces) for used car parts and donor vehicles matching your request, and uses AI to assess fitment, damage and availability. We are a search and research tool: we do not sell parts, hold stock, or act as agent for any seller. Any purchase you make is between you and the third-party seller, on their terms.
Search results
- Results are generated by AI from third-party listings at the time of your search. We work hard to verify availability and fitment, but we cannot guarantee that any listing is accurate, still available, correctly priced, or actually compatible with your vehicle. Always confirm the part, fitment and condition with the seller before buying.
- A search consumes credits when it runs, whether or not it finds results — the work (searching, reading and verifying listings) is performed either way.
- Result counts vary run to run; the used-parts market changes constantly.
Credits, subscriptions and payment
- Searches cost 1–4 credits depending on the intensity you choose, shown before you run the search.
- Pay-as-you-go credit packs do not expire. Subscription plans add credits to your balance each billing period; unused credits remain on your balance while your account is open.
- Free trial credits are for evaluating the service, are limited to the Quick intensity, and have no cash value. One trial per person; we may withhold trial credits from accounts we reasonably believe are duplicates.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- You can cancel a subscription any time from your billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Credits already spent on completed searches are non-refundable. If you have purchased credits and not used any, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
Acceptable use
- Don't use automated tools to scrape, bulk-query or resell PartFerret results without our written agreement.
- Don't attempt to circumvent credit charges, trial limits or rate limits, or share one account across a business without a Trade plan.
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close your account for a breach, unused paid credits may be forfeited; otherwise we will refund the unused paid balance.
Liability
We provide PartFerret with reasonable skill and care, but the service is provided "as is" and depends on third-party websites and AI systems we don't control. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from a purchase you make from a third-party seller, from inaccurate or unavailable listings, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
